Journal Pg. 86-105

           There was a lot of describing and figurative language in the beginning of Chapter 4 describing the setting and how the weather was. Most of the figurative language was personifications. A couple of examples are:
  • ".......nothing seemed to stir but the smoke curling upward.................."
       and
  • "......a frosty, idle cold that seeped across a hot land ever looking toward the days of green........."


Journal Question: Do you think Mr. Granger will get the Logan land? Why?

  1. No I dont think Mr. Granger will get the Logan families land because they are strong and they wont let the land slip away from them.
